Directors required. Winners Announced! 7th Annual InspiraTO Festival: Alumnae Theatre (Mainstage), Toronto, June 1-10, 2012. The InspiraTO Festival is excited to present this year's Playwriting Contest Winners. 17 plays were selected (we had 311 play submissions). Applications for InspiraTO's Playwrights' Mentoring Project has closed. Stay tuned as we announce the recipients in the next 3-4 days. Note: If selected please keep Sat. Feb 11, 2012 (Toronto) as you must be available to attend the workshop.
We require directors. If you live in the Greater Toronto Area and would like to direct a ten-minute play please go to "read a play " for full details. If you want to act, the audition schedule will be posted in late February and held in March. In the meantime visit "read a play " to scout what plays you'd like to audition for. Each year InspiraTO showcases the best ten-minute plays based on a theme of the senses. This year's theme is based on "vision." A thank you to all the playwrights who submitted their plays. A thank you to this year's jury which included Daniela Mazic, Lumir Hladik, Karen Elizabeth Michael, Tracey Beltrano, Marilyn Dickson and Dominik Loncar. This year we will be producing 24 ten-minute plays (17 from the Playwriting Contest, one Artistic Director's play and six from the Mentoring Project). I hope to see many of you taking part. Cheers, Dominik The InspiraTO Festival, Canada's largest ten-minute play festival, now entering its seventh season, has produced 82 ten-minute plays with over 190 actors and 80 directors participating.
